Meet Tiffany (she/her)

I'm a Philadelphian gal who studied Acupuncture and East Asian herbalism in Chicago before moving to Seattle several years ago. I have been a full spectrum doula for over 5 years, serving just under 200 clients in that time. I have a 20+ year background in Middle Eastern and West African dance, in addition to Tai-Chi and meditation. Across all of my studies, I have had the honor of consistently supporting clients through their fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and/or loss journeys. I currently serve my community in 3 ways:

  • Perinatal Support as a Student Midwife + Lactation Counselor pursuing International Board Certification

  • Perinatal Support for our unhoused neighbors

  • Ancestral Energywork for community members

I truly look forward to advancing my skills as a Midwife and Lactation Consultant to support my Black, Indigenous, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities as they grow their families.

When I'm not working I love to dance, travel, bake, cook, and spend time with my 2 kitties and husband.

Journey Towards Lactation Credentials

Tiffany is a candidate to sit for the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant Exam: This means she is in the home-stretch of finishing her 500 clinical hours and has already completed 14 health science courses, and 100+ hours of lactation education. To date, she has provided over 1,200 hours of breast/chest feeding support. Tiffany's primary mentors include

Ceci Cordova, FNP, CNM, IBCLC

Michelle Bielicki, LMT, IBCLC

Elizabeth Montez-Giras, IBCLC

Your sessions with Tiffany are guided by the wisdom she has gained along this journey AND the active guidance of the above- mentioned mentors. If you're seeking sliding scale fees, you might qualify to work with Tiffany through Open Arms

Student Midwife

Midwifery is a deep legacy calling for Tiffany. Her ancestral history is rich with great grand-auntie midwives of the South Carolina coastal region (Gullah) and Virginia Piedmont area. She was raised by generations of family members who cooked from their souls, danced from their hearts, and were in-tune with their divine purpose: to help others heal.

Tiffany is a student at Cedar Medicine School of Midwifery: an inaugural BIPOC centered program created by Rhonda Grantham, founder of the Center for Indigenous Midwifery. Use the contact page to ask where Tiffany is apprenticing.
